IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE TURNING POINT’S BEN LARABEE IS AN EXTREMIST, THEN YOU DON’T KNOW THE REAL BEN LARRABEE

If you are not aware that ROT-supported candidate Ben Larrabee is a right-wing extremist, you may be confused by the sign, paid for by Flourish, with the message: “Extremists Ruin Towns Reject Turning Point’s Ben Larrabee.” Larrabee has been employed for eight years by Turning Point Action, the political action arm of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.

If you have not been following Larrabee before last summer when he married Councilwoman Hannah Toth, moved to Fountain Hills, and began acting like he was a hometown boy, ready to take his wife’s job on the Town Council, you have every reason to be confused. We are here to clear up that confusion and explain why we identified Larrabee as an extremist and why you should not vote for him unless you think we need another Allen Skillicorn, the worst and most notorious councilmember in the Town’s history.

Throughout his career with Turning Point Action, Larrabee has repeatedly revealed himself to be a person who will not hesitate to go to extremes in the pursuit of the far-right agenda. Think Project 2025, version 2.0.

Larrabee has been credited as the creator of Turning Point’s “Professor Watchlist,” a database designed and intended to systematically target academics deemed to be the purveyors of “leftist propaganda” because they

provided instruction on “woke” topics like racial justice, gender studies, or climate change. Faculty members identified on Larrabee’s Watchlist have been doxed, subjected to unrelenting online harassment, cyberbullying, physical assaults, and death threats that compelled some to seek police protection.

Larrabee’s attacks on “woke academics” has not been limited to professors. He has suggested that gender studies students be shipped to Guantanamo.

As illustrated by his pre-transition X profile, a red-eyed Viking warrior that is a symbol of the war to preserve Anglo-Saxon culture, Larrabee considers himself a front-line soldier in Turning Point’s “war on wokeness.” Larrabee was instrumental in launching an orchestrated attack on members of the LGBTQ+ community by delivering “fear and loathing” presentations to town councils and school boards in Arizona.

We recently published the video diatribe Larrabee delivered to the Fountain Hills Town Council in 2024, before he declared his candidacy and was unknown to our community.

Before beginning that diatribe, delivered during the Call to the Public, Larrabee did not even pause to identify himself before launching into his excruciating three-minute lecture on the evils inflicted on a community by members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Ben Larrabee, like his wife Hannah Larrabee and mentor Charlie Kirk, believes that homosexuality is a mental disorder and an affront to Christianity. He believes that members of the community are intent on grooming children to convert them to their “toxic” lifestyles and that it should be illegal for a homosexual couple to raise a child.

Larrabee has directed his most vitriolic contempt to members of the transgender community. In this regard he appears to have been influenced by

his friend, boss and mentor, Charlie Kirk, who once referred to transgender men and women as an “abomination” and a “throbbing middle finger to God.” Larrabee himself was the featured performer in a video titled: “Ben Larabee Delivers the Shot Heard Round the World on Tranny Insanity.”

In that video, in addition to trotting out his standard tropes, a “data analyst” made the outlandish and counterintuitive claim that 50 percent of transgender inmates in federal prisons were convicted of sexual assault and 90 percent for violent crimes. This “data” appears to be entirely fabricated. There is no Bureau of Prisons or Department of Justice data that supports Larrabee’s claim. The Department of Justice and Bureau of Prisons do not even gather the offense histories of inmates based on their gender identity.

Larrabee’s blatant misrepresentation serves as a textbook example of how right-wing extremists cynically weaponize disinformation in pursuit of the goal of rolling back civil rights protections for the LGBTQ+ community.

📍It is important to note that Larrabee’s extremist views are not limited to members of the LGBTQ+ community. In his X account Larrabee has:

• paid homage to Joe McCarthy

• suggested banning “non-American citizens from purchasing land or property

• stated that we should “punish renters (sic) who lease to illegals”

• stated that the phrase “diversity is our strength” is shorthand for “them wanting more taco trucks and Democrat voters”

• claimed that “Islam is not compatible with Western

Civilization”

• said that “Under Project 2025, Dr. Ben Carson will lobotomize Commies live from the Oval office.”

Larrabee appears to have taken a leave from his job

as a purveyor of disinformation, hatred, and bigotry and is now attempting to reinvent himself as a local boy (he’s not) and family man who: gazes fondly at the fountain; has been inducted into “the club”; shows up at prayer services and ribbon-cutting ceremonies; and sings the praises of local eateries and ice cream parlors.

In many of his recent social media posts Larrabee is pictured sporting a goofy grin and a backward baseball cap. So, could it be that the threatening red-eyed Viking warrior Ben Larrabee has been mystically transformed into the affable, approachable family man Ben Larrabee?

Make no mistake, Ben Larrabee has not changed. As a councilmember he will push to change the name of our community center to “The Charlie Kirk Freedom Center” and focus on the ongoing pursuit of the divisive culture wars.

If elected, Larrabee will revert to the righteous, angry

confrontational man we first encountered standing at the podium in our town hall two years ago: an outsider who injected himself into a town meeting for the sole purpose of attacking members of our town council and our friends, neighbors, and family members.

The message on our sign, “Extremists Ruin Towns, Reject Turning Point’s Ben Larrabee,” was not, as Larrabee’s supporters contend, the opening salvo of a “smear campaign.” The message was not accompanied by vilification, innuendo, disgusting imagery, or false narratives.

The message was based on Larrabee’s documented extremist beliefs and our disastrous experience with Allen Skillicorn, the self-styled agent of chaos. Ben Larrabee is an extremist idealogue ready, willing, and able to pick up Skillicorn’s mantle as the disruptor on the dais.

If Ben Larrabee is elected, there will be no collegiality, there will be no civility, there will be no collaboration, there will be no peace.

Reject Ben Larrabee.
